Patrick Meighan, a husband, a father, and a writer on the Fox animated sitcom “Family Guy”, details the heavy handedness of his misdemeanor arrest at an Occupy LA protest:

It smells like… victory.
Whoever came up with this sign, really gets it, and came up with a really good way to communicate it.

The “Atlantic” has an article with about a dozen videos of police violence at Occupy protests. Go check it out:
UC Davis Chancellor Katehi walks to her car. Katehi is the chancellor of UC Davis where the campus cops pepper sprayed a line of peaceful passive protesters.
THIS video shows Katehi walking to her car while possibly hundreds of students watch her walk while remaining completely silent.
First of all, the amount of discipline these students have been showing is amazing. That they were able to remain passive and nonviolent while cops used excessive violence against them, is what made the video go viral in the first place. And this this video, that they were able to remain *completely silent* in large numbers, while the perpetrator behind the violence walked to her car, is just amazing.
The video of the students remaining peaceful while getting pepper sprayed and this video of the students remaining completely silent but watching this horrible woman walk to her car, demonstrate just an amazing level of discipline on the part of these students.
Amazing discipline.
Because they just want to make sure the park is clean and safe. No, wait…
University of California:Davis police pepper spray a bunch of passive* students, where passive means, nonviolent for those wondering.
Police have made a bunch of arrests on Wall Street, about 900 total. Unfortunately, all of them were people protesting the LACK of prosecution of the criminals behind Wall Street.
Occupy Wall Street has come up with a list of possible demands:
https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/
1: Elimination of the Corporate state.
2: Overturn Citizens United
3: Eliminate private contributions to politicians. Replace it with public funding.
4: term limits. Four 2-year terms for congressman. Two 6-year terms for senators.
5: A far, progressive, graduated, income tax with most loopholes removed.
6: Healthcare for all
7: Protection of the planet.
8: Debt Reduction. Fair taxes, raise taxes on the rich and corporations. Decrease spending on wars.
9: Jobs for all Americans.
10: Student Loan Forgiveness. Interest and payments should be deferred during unemployment.
11: Immigration reform.
12: End the perpetual war for profit.
13: reform public education
14: end outsourcing. Tax corporations who do.
15: End currency manipulation
16: banking and securities reform. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall act and regulate Wall Street.
17: Foreclosure Moratorium.
18: End the Federal Reserve. Make it part of the Treasury Department.
19: Abolish the Electoral College. Free voter registration. Voting on weekends. Make it easier for everyone to vote.
20: End the war in afghanistan.
This is an awesome list. But if they don’t get the first four (all the campaign finance reform items), then they’ll never get any of the rest.
